Car Hits Deaf School Van, Driver Dies

Police: Victim's Car Crossed Centerline

INDIANAPOLIS-- One person was killed after a two-vehicle crash on the city's north side Monday.

Police said a car crossed the centerline in the 7200 block of North College Avenue and slammed head-on into a van from a southern Indiana deaf school.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, RTV6 reported.

The van was carrying two adults and four students from the Spring Valley School District. The van passengers were treated for minor injuries.

Police said toxicology tests were being done on the victim to see if alcohol was involved. The victim has not been identified.
