LOCUST DALE — A new assistance program is available in Columbia County.
The Columbia County Redevelopment Authority’s Access Grant Program is available to the physically handicapped, visually and hearing-impaired residents who need to make adaptive modifications to homes and rental properties.

“I encourage any person who has a physical handicap, visual handicap or hearing (impairment) to contact these people to take advantage,” said Supervisor Chairman James Tarlecki.
Township secretary Linda Gregis said it isn’t just the handicapped who can benefit .
“We have a lot of elderly people, and they just don’t know about these programs,” she said.
Those interested should contact the Columbia County Redevelopment Authority at 389-5745 or any supervisor.
