WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 28, 2002--PAX TV has picked up an additional nine episodes of the original, new one-hour dramatic series "Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye" starring deaf actress Deanne Bray, bringing the full episode commitment to 22.

The series much-anticipated debut (Sunday, October 13, 9-11 p.m., ET/PT) marked the network's highest-rated premiere this season and topped programming on cable powerhouses Lifetime, Discovery, A & E, FX, TBS, TNT and CNN. Over its three weeks on air, "Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye" has even topped CBS, ABC and FOX in major markets. "Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye" continues as a weekly series Sundays, 9-10 p.m., ET/PT on PAX, the lead out from PAX's "Doc," an established hit for the network also from creators Dave and Gary Johnson.

Paxson President and CEO, Jeff Sagansky, said, "This landmark series has become the lynchpin of our breakout Sunday night lineup and joins PAX originals 'Doc' and 'Just Cause' in the network's stand-out ratings and audience growth. The response from viewers and critics alike is making 'Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye' a hit, and Deanne Bray a major star."

This action drama series is inspired by the life of its title character who was profoundly deaf from the age of 18 months. This groundbreaking series is the first to be created about the experiences of a deaf person and to have that lead character be portrayed by a deaf actor. In the series, Sue Thomas (Deanne Bray) overcomes significant obstacles to work surveillance for the F.B.I. Initially headed for a dead-end job in fingerprinting, her lip reading skills come to the attention of an F.B.I. agent and she is promoted to the elite surveillance team. Suddenly, Sue and her hearing dog, Levi, are "G-men," involved with a lot more action than they bargained for and working on high profile cases.

In addition to Bray, the cast of "Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye" features Yannick Bisson, Rick Peters, Mark Gomes, Tara Samuel, Ted Atherton, Enuka Okuma and Jesse as Sue's golden retriever Levi.

"Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye" is created by Dave Alan Johnson and Gary R. Johnson, creators of PAX's top-rated series, "Doc." Marilyn Stonehouse produces for Pebblehut Productions.
