Mike Nissim-Sabat scored four first-half goals yesterday to help the Mary Washington College men's soccer team snap a two-game winless streak with a 9-0 win at Gallaudet.

Nissim-Sabat, a senior midfielder from Chancellor High School, tied the school single-game record with four goals in a 19-minute span. Teammate Marc Salotti, who also equaled the record earlier this season, scored once yesterday.

Adam Benabdallah added two second-half goals for the Eagles (8-3-2, 3-0 Capital Athletic Conference), who outshot the Bison 29-4 and had a 14-0 edge in corner kicks. Andrew Shin and Roberto Morales also scored for MWC, which plays host to Salisbury on Saturday

MWC goaltender Robyn Lankford was named CAC player of the week after posting two shutouts last season.

Lankford, a freshman from Fairfax High School, blanked Sweet Briar 5-0 and Roanoke 2-0 for her sixth and seventh shutouts of the season. She has an 0.72 goals-against average for the Eagles (11-2), who are ranked 10th in this week's Division III national poll, as voted by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.
